Temple Sloan, Dan Bock and Joe Hughes who worked at three different automotive companies, General Parts, Bobro Products and Indiana Parts Warehouse respectively. CARQUEST careers are split into four divisions: Retail, Commercial, Corporate and Supply Chain. Supply Chain jobs usually include Warehouse Workers and Managers. Job Descriptions & Salaries
Salesperson – As a Salesperson you will have to work towards personal and store sales goals. You will have to have a good knowledge of the products and the sourcing process. This role requires excellent customer service skills both face-to-face and on the telephone. You will also aid in the inventory process. The wages are typically $9-10/hour.
Delivery Driver/Customer Service Delivery Team Member – In this role you will primarily have responsibility for preparing customers’ orders and delivering them. There are other duties involved including delivering the weekly and monthly sales flyers, assisting with stocking and cleaning the store. Delivery Drivers are paid hourly at a rate of $8-10.
Commercial Parts Pro/Customer Service Team Member – This role is a step up from the entry-level salesperson position and you will have a thorough knowledge of parts and vehicles. You will be expected to be able to source and special order parts and dispatch orders for the convenience of your customers. The average pay starts at $10/hour.
Commercial Account Manager – The responsibilities in this job are to the commercial customers. Account Managers are there to create and maintain commercial business relationships. This position requires good sales and communication skills and you will also need a valid drivers license. The average salary is around $40k a year plus bonuses.
