Job Description
General Summary:
Vendor compliance analysts are responsible for assessing the compliance of Family Dollar’s vendor community with defined delivery and fulfillment guidelines. The analyst is required to generate reports and understand the data related to timeliness and fullness of purchase orders delivered to Family Dollar distribution centers. Knowledge of basic DC operations, logistics and inventory management approaches will allow for effective recommendations and cross-functional relationship management. The position is responsible for providing support to the inventory and merchandising teams in resolution of compliance challenges, reporting and identifying root causes.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Generate and summarize vendor compliance related reports in relation to fullness and timeliness of deliveries.
2. Analyze trends for key vendors with high impact.
3. Meet with cross-functional partners to gain holistic view of distribution center and logistics status.
4. Assist in the vendor chargeback process through gathering of data.
5. Partner with vendors and internal partners to resolve compliance issues.
6. Continuously build upon current processes to ensure best practices.
7. Participate in building out/launching an automated solution
Position Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
Experience: +2 or more years of related experience in supply chain, logistics, vendor compliance or in a business analyst capacity
Job related Skills:
1. Ability to prioritize and organize workload
2. possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
3. Ability to design and develop documents, reports, and presentations
4. Must have good verbal and written communication skills
5. Must have a good understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
Technical Skills: Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows-based programs as well as retail math; Experience with SQL and/or MicroStrategy preferred.
