This position is for a Supply Chain Analyst. The Supply Chain Analyst will optimize and prioritize inventory movement through the supply chain network based on the seasonal timing of products and analysis of inventory levels by distribution center. The analyst will also provide additional analytical support on key supply chain initiatives and distribution center flow opportunities.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage flow optimization tools and analysis to identify inventory opportunities through the supply chain network for new and existing products
Prioritize the flow of product into and through the supply chain network including import orders, domestic orders, and on yard at the distribution centers.
Provide inventory flow support to distribution centers during peak periods and as issues arise.
Coordinate inventory flow communication across the merchant, supply chain, and inventory management groups.
Collect and refresh data inputs required for running analyses to determine optimal flow paths
Analyze pre-season and in season holiday product flow changes within the network
Support tradeoff and impact evaluation for SKU/vendor candidates when capacity constraints are hit for recommended flow paths
Maintain log of flow path change requests from other functions
Participate in the selection, development and implementation of new flow planning tools that transform and modernize related processes and reporting
Participate and lead ad hoc projects or requests that involve supply chain coordination
Experience:
3+ years of proven experience in a supply chain or inventory management analyst role
Product flow or network planning experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business, or related field)
Prerequisites:
(Technical)
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Word (MS Access and SQL a plus)
Experience in implementing and optimizing BI and analytics tools and systems
(Interpersonal)
Strong problem-solving and critical-analysis abilities; ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data; able to clearly explain conclusions and support decision making
Strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative reasoning; excellent attention to detail
Ability to engage with and present to senior management, as needed
