General Summary:

Responsible for auditing various DC processes prior to loading on trucks, ensures merchandise shipped to stores meets the requirements of our internal/external customers and/or processes all damaged merchandise created in the Distribution Center. Recoups damages to salvage saleable merchandise.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Audits Repack Stocker work assignments for loading to proper locations, repack containers, bulk conveyable items and bulk non-conveyable items, accurately, for proper quality and quantity, by use of established methods.
2. Checks and verifies receiving pallets to ensure food sanitation guidelines are met.
3. Evaluates and processes damaged items efficiently and according to established guidelines. Repackages, salvages or destroys according to established guidelines. Provides damage adjustment information to Inventory Control Management.
4. Complies with all FDA, Salvage and SDS requirements.
5. Performs quality audits, accurately, ensures errors are corrected, documents and reports all results to appropriate personnel, in Inventory Control Management. Reviews and reconciles Crystal reports and processes adjustments when necessary.
6. Processes data and samples in a timely manner to meet department deadlines.
7. Completes the daily P.I.T. checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and reports any defects to management and/or maintenance.
8. Operates P.I.T. equipment in a safe manner.
9. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
10. Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
11. Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment within the Inventory Control department.
12. Follows all Company policies and procedures.
13. All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education: High school preferred.
Experience: Four to six months clerical or similar work experience in a Retail Distribution or Warehouse environment is preferred. Must be able to demonstrate basic Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows. Working knowledge of WMS preferred.
Physical Requirements: Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. These tasks require the ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and rarely up to 60 pounds. The Team Member should have adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing of stairs, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation. Team Member will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements.
Working Conditions: Team Member will work in a non-climate controlled Distribution or Warehouse atmosphere, in which outside weather conditions greatly affect the building’s temperature. Team Member may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts or equipment, fumes and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA.
Availability: Team Member will perform shift work and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
